Fèis Thiriodh is run by a committee of volunteers who work in partnership with our umbrella organisation, Fèisean nan Gàidheal.
We are always on the look out for new committee members or volunteers to support during Fèis Week at the beginning of July on Tiree.
Please get in touch if you would like to be involved.

Fèis, -ean, S.F Feast, Gathering, Festival.
Thairis air an trichead bliadhna a dh’fhalbh tha am facal air a thighinn gu bhith a’ ciallachadh iomairt nam Fèisean; grunnan fhèisean airson a bhith a’ teagasg nan ealain ann an Gàidhlig, gu h-àraid do dhaoine òg, ‘s a tha nis a’ dol air adhart air feadh Alba.
Is e Fèis cothrom do dhaoine tighinn còmhla gus na sgilean aca sna h-ealain Gàidhlig a leasachadh– òrain, dannsa, dràma, agus ceòl thraidiseanta air iomadh seòrsa ionnstramaid. Tha an teagasg fosgailte do na h-uile agus spòrsail, ach tha e cuideachd proifeiseanta agus èifeachdach. What is a Fèis?
Fèis (plural Fèisean) is the Gaelic word for a festival or feast. However over the past thirty years the word has become synonomous with the Fèis movement; a group of Gaelic arts tuition festivals, mainly for young people, which now take place throughout Scotland.
A Fèis is an opportunity for individuals to come together to develop skills in the Gaelic arts – song, dance, drama, and traditional music on a wide range of instruments. Tuition is accessible and fun, but professional and effective. The focus of activity for most Fèisean is an annual, week-long festival.
